Holiday Horror Movies of the 1980s: A Complete List

In addition to offering up an eclectic mix of great monster movies and wonderful practical effects, the 1980s also provided us with great holiday-themed horror movies as well. From April Fool's Day to Thanksgiving, essentially every holiday was represented. As different holidays roll around, I often find myself searching for something to watch which will mirror the event in question. However, it can be a tedious process finding movies for every occasion. To simplify things, I've created a list of all the primary (US) holidays and have listed 80s horror films which correspond to that particular holiday. Enjoy and let me know if I've left anything out!

Note: because of the large number of horror films focusing on Halloween and Christmas, I've given these holidays their own list. View the Halloween list here. The Christmas list is coming soon! Also, since some holidays don't have films set around their particular day, I've included a few which fit the overall theme (ex. The Stepfather for Father's Day).
