One of my favorite sub-genres is the Werewolf film. Focusing on practical effects and, indeed, reaching the pinnacle of effects work, the 80s are naturally perfectly suited for such creature/effect-laden movies. As such, no other decade brought us so many memorable Werewolf movies than the 1980s. Ranging from well known classics like An American Werewolf in London and The Howling to ambitious and fantastical entries like The Company of Wolves, the 1980s regularly saw an eclectic mix of Werewolf movies. Still, several more obscure Werewolf movies were silently released during this period and remain mostly forgotten. Consequently, it seems fitting to compile a list of 80s Werewolf movies! As always, remember that most of the full movies are available to watch right here on 80shorror.net! Note that many of these films are not CENTERED around werewolves, but merely contain a werewolf.
